Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - $865 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week travel job in Lebanon, New Jersey. The position involves 30 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and is supervised by an Occupational Therapist (OT).

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

Requirements

• BLS Certification
• National COTA Certification
• One year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant

Qualifications

• Current BLS Certification
• Current COTA National Certification
• State-specific licensure required
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles
