Travel Occupational Therapist - Outpatient

About the role

We are seeking a travel Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered therapy services in various settings. This role emphasizes providing quality care, documentation, patient education, and supervision of staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients' functional status through assessments of skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, and cognitive functions.
• Developing and implementing goal-specific treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, patients, families, and caregivers.
• Documenting treatment regimes, updating plans of care based on patient progress, and ensuring treatment aligns with standards and policies.
• Educating patients and caregivers on conditions, treatment options, and prognosis.
• Supervising Occupational Therapist Assistants, aides, and students in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience primarily in outpatient settings, with some acute care experience preferred.
• Supervisory references within the last two years.

Skills

• Skills checklist current within one year related to occupational therapy.

Schedule

Work involves 8-hour day shifts, with a guaranteed 40-hour week and one weekend per month.
