Travel Occupational Therapist - Outpatient - $2,358 per week
About the Role
ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Alpena, Michigan. This position guarantees a 40-hour work week with 8-hour day shifts and requires one weekend per month (Saturday).
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the patient's function using formal and informal testing to determine skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular status, and cognitive functions.
- Develop a goal-specific treatment regime based on assessment data and the patient's tolerance to carry out the treatment plan as prescribed.
- Submit a written treatment regime to be included as part of the plan of treatment authorized by and coordinated with the physician and update the plan of care as needed to reflect changes in patient status.
- Devise a schedule of treatment that is frequency and duration specific, to be discussed with patients, families, and caregivers.
- Educate patients, families, and/or caregivers regarding pathology or condition, treatment alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment.
- Provide supervision for Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students according to affiliate and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapist License.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Experience primarily in outpatient settings, with some acute care experience preferred.
- Supervisory references completed within the last two years.
- Skills checklist current to one year, pertinent to the specialty of Occupational Therapy.

Pay
Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
