Travel Occupational Therapist - Outpatient - $2,286 per week

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in an outpatient setting serving patients 55 and older in Sioux City, Iowa. The role requires 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, and experience with the Epic EMR system.

• Outpatient occupational therapy setting
• Patient population is 55 years and older
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Facility trauma levels vary by location (Level 1 through Level 4 trauma centers)

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients 55+ in an outpatient setting
• Document patient care using Epic EMR

Requirements

• Any level of previous experience accepted; first-time travelers welcome
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Active Iowa state license required
• Child and Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter certification required
• Valid driver’s license or proof of permanent residency
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date
• One supervisory reference/performance evaluation from within 2 years of employment or contract
• Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (except Madison location, where local candidates are accepted with a 10% rate reduction)
• Candidates employed by the facility within the past 12 months will not be considered

Schedule

• 13-week assignment starting August 24, 2026
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts (5x8)
• Travelers required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited to 1 day off request between 11/26/25–11/30/25 and 12/23/25–1/2/26 regardless of holidays worked
