American Traveler is seeking a travel Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Occupational Therapist for an assignment in Humansville, Missouri.
About the Role
This is a 13-week travel assignment in a Long Term Care (LTC) skilled nursing facility setting. The role requires 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience and prior LTC/SNF setting experience.
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, as consistently communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Treats patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders
- No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) may be requested during the assignment
Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
- Administer rehabilitation procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and evaluate treatment outcomes
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
- Communicate with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans
- Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate documentation per regulatory requirements
- Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
- Attend facility and company required trainings and in-services
- Obtain necessary DME or supplies as needed for patient care
- Supervise and support occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
- Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state-required practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics
Requirements
- Current OT license required, if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- Compact license accepted for Missouri
- 1 professional reference required for consideration

- 40 hours per week
