About the role
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation unit in an acute care hospital setting. The position is located in Baltimore, Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic interventions to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assess patient needs and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Document patient progress and outcomes using Cerner/MedConnect EMR system.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Active Maryland (MD) OT license required and must be in hand at time of consideration.
- Minimum 3 years of occupational therapy experience required.
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required.
- Acute inpatient rehabilitation experience required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Licenses required if applicable.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Must have completed an accredited occupational therapy program.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Must have a valid Maryland OT license.

- Proficiency in Cerner/MedConnect EMR system.

Pay
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Shift: Days, 5x8 hours, typically 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Tuesday–Saturday schedule preferred; Monday–Friday candidates considered if willing to work Saturday once or twice per month with a flex weekday off.

- Two professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required.
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required.
- Any scrub color is acceptable except the nursing blue/white combination.
- All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront.
