Travel Occupational Therapist position in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
About the role
This position involves providing occupational therapy evaluations, treatments, and participating in discharge planning within an inpatient setting. The role requires delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment, adhering to facility protocols and safety standards.
Patient care involves a 99-bed facility with additional inpatient rehab and swing beds. This is a contractor replacement position.
Responsibilities
- Perform occupational therapy evaluations and treatments
- Develop and modify care plans
- Attend care team meetings
- Participate in discharge planning
- Perform administrative duties
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in inpatient occupational therapy
- BLS certification
- New Mexico state licensure
Schedule
- Shift: Days, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with one Saturday per month
- 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Holidays required
- No floating or call required
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Start Date: 08/17/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
