Travel Occupational Therapist Inpatient - $2,265 per week

Travel Occupational Therapist position in Yakima, Washington for an inpatient setting. This role involves providing therapy services for patients with diagnoses such as cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), orthopedic conditions, and dementia, including discharge planning responsibilities.

About the role

This 21-week contract focuses on holiday coverage, emphasizing independent practice. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services for patients with CVA, orthopedic, and dementia diagnoses
• Perform evaluations and deliver therapy
• Develop home program recommendations
• Handle discharge planning
• Adhere to facility documentation standards
• Float throughout the hospital (excluding pediatrics)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Occupational Therapy
• Valid Washington state Occupational Therapist license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 1 year of experience in an inpatient setting
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with evaluation, therapy, and home program recommendations
• Epic electronic medical record experience (preferred)

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
