About the role

The School Occupational Therapist will provide therapeutic services to students in a school setting. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with diverse student populations and contribute to their development.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan interventions to address functional needs of students
• Implement evidence-based practice in therapy sessions
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide direct therapy services to students in various settings within the school
• Document progress and communicate with stakeholders regularly

Requirements

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• New graduates are encouraged to apply

Qualifications

• Current state licensure in Occupational Therapy
• Experience working with children and adolescents
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques
• Ability to adapt therapy to meet the needs of individual students
• Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
