About the role

Travel assignment for Occupational Therapist in Newport, Vermont, starting January 1, 2027, lasting 13 weeks. Work in a skilled nursing care setting serving residents requiring rehabilitation and daily living support.

Pay

Weekly pay ranges from $2,429 to $2,510 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary; final compensation will be discussed during the hiring process.

Schedule

Shift pattern: 5 days per week, 8‑hour shifts, 08:00–16:30 daily.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for residents and develop individualized treatment plans to improve activities of daily living, mobility, and functional independence.
  • Implement evidence‑based interventions, monitor progress, and adjust plans to maximize functional outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team including nursing, speech therapy, physical therapy, social work, and case management to ensure coordinated care.
  • Document evaluation findings, treatment progress, and discharge recommendations in the resident’s medical record; communicate with families and care teams as appropriate.
  • Participate in discharge planning and provide caregiver education to support ongoing rehabilitation in the home or care setting.

Requirements

  • Active occupational therapy license in Vermont or eligibility to obtain licensure per state requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a skilled care setting and with an interprofessional team.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to participate in a 13‑week travel assignment and adhere to the assigned shift schedule.
