Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,142-$2,342 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 per week Contract duration: 16 weeks Shift: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (day shift), 8x5 schedule; schedule may vary Start date: 09/13/2026 Location details: Cumming, GA Holiday and weekend expectations: 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks; must work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s) plus 1 minor holiday; 1 summer holiday Candidate location rule: No local candidates within 50 miles Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy evaluations, treatment planning, and interventions for acute care patients across the hospital Support a wide range of diagnoses including ICU patients, stroke/neurological, orthopedics, and general debility; contribute to discharge planning and patient progress Document patient care and progress in the Cerner Acute Care OT department; ensure timely, accurate charting from physician orders through to discharge Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (physicians, nurses, therapists, social work) to optimize outcomes and safe transitions of care Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, activities of daily living, and adaptive equipment as appropriate Adhere to hospital policies, infection control practices, and safety standards; manage patient safety and quality of care during treatment sessions Requirements Licensure: Georgia OT license and NBCOT certification Certification: AHA BLS required Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent OT experience in an acute/general specialty Setting: Experience or comfort working in an acute care hospital environment; Cerner Acute Care charting experience preferred Availability: Ability to meet the schedule expectations (day shift with weekend coverage and holiday requirements) and commit to a 16-week assignment Travel readiness: Willingness to work in a travel temporary assignment and comply with non-local candidate requirement (no candidates within 50 miles) Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated on-assignment support Fast credentialing process Nationwide assignments across the network Extension opportunities if available and applicable Find more opportunities If you’d like to explore additional occupational therapy openings, apply or browse the Healthforce Healthcare LLC opportunities page: https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
