Travel - Occupational Therapist

About the Facility

HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital, located at 1796 Highway 441 North, Okeechobee, FL, is a 100-bed facility with a therapy team consisting of 2 Occupational Therapists (OTs), 3 outpatient Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), and 2 inpatient COTAs.

About the Role

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day Shift (08:00 AM – 05:00 PM)
• Patient ratios: Estimated 7-10
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Call requirements: None
• Equipment used: Standard inpatient and outpatient tools, including electrical stimulation (estim), ultrasound (us), and infrared

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient evaluations, 10/30-minute sessions, progress reports, and discharge notes, primarily for upper extremity orthopedic and neurological conditions
• Conduct inpatient evaluations
• Type reports to allow OTs to focus on patient care
• Work with adults in both outpatient and inpatient settings, Tuesday through Saturday

Requirements

• Occupational Therapy degree valid for practice in Florida
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to type reports efficiently
• Willingness to learn and adapt to both outpatient and inpatient settings

Additional Preferences

• Previous travel experience preferred
• Ability to function well independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience or adaptability to both outpatient and inpatient care
