Occupational Therapist Travel

About the role

Location: Local and national travel options are available dependent on need. Facility: Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals. Department: Ascension Premier Staffing - Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial deficits.
• Evaluate independent living skills to design safe, effective plans of care, including treatment type and frequency.
• Execute treatment plans using appropriate modalities, document progress, and modify care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on deficits, assist with discharge planning, and provide guidance on adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Oversee certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to regulations and practice standards.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR).
• Drivers License preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

Skills

• 1+ years of recent experience as an Occupational Therapist.
