Travel Occupational Therapist Assistant - $800 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a position in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a 13-week, 30-hour-per-week opportunity with 8-hour shifts, days shift. The role requires 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a current BLS and COTA National certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

Requirements

• BLS
• NBCOT (COTA)
• 2 Years of Experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant

Qualifications

• Current BLS Certification
• National Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• State-specific licensure is required
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 30.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
