About the role
Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) specializing in Home Health care in Portland, Oregon. This position involves providing skilled occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in a home health setting. The OTA will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring optimal recovery and independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy assessments, treatment, and education in patients’ residences
- Work with various neurological, orthopedic, and functional rehabilitation diagnoses using comprehensive therapy skills
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements
- Certification in BLS
- Oregon state license
- 1 year of skilled home health experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to meet productivity expectations
- Primary series COVID-19 vaccination plus one booster
- Two professional references covering one year of experience
- Own transportation with a typical visit radius of approximately 60 miles per day
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Familiarity with Electronic Patient Record systems such as HomeCare HomeBase and Oasis
Schedule
- 8-hour days without weekend requirements
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Flexible but consistent schedule; no block scheduling accommodations
