Travel Occupational Therapist Assistant - $1,388 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a travel job in Houghton Lake, Michigan. We're looking for Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) for an immediate travel opening. The right OTA should have 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Current BLS certification
• NBCOT (COTA) National certification
• State-specific licensure
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Schedule

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 35 hours per week
• Shift: 7 hours, days

Pay package is based on 7 hour shifts and 35.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
