Travel Occupational Therapist Assistant - $1,455 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a position in Schulenburg, Texas. This is a 13-week, 40-hour-per-week opportunity with 8-hour shifts. The role requires 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a current BLS and COTA National certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

Requirements

• 1 Year of Experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Current BLS Certification
• COTA National Certification
• State-specific Licensure Required
• Ability to Lift and Assist Patients Safely
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Solid Understanding of Anatomy, Motor Function, and Occupational Therapy Principles

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or Related Field
• Current COTA Certification
• Current BLS Certification
• State Licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
