About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a 13-week assignment in St Joseph, Missouri. This full-time position involves 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
  • Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
  • Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
  • Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
  • Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Active COTA National certification (NBCOT).
  • State-specific licensure required.
  • Ability to lift and assist patients safely.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.
  • Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
