About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment at an acute care hospital burn unit in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Treat burn patients with 0–100% TBSA burns, focusing on mobility, positioning, and therapeutic interventions to prevent contractures and scarring.
- Manage pain management and surgical dressing considerations.
- Provide outpatient PT coverage for evaluations and therapy, when available.
- Float within inpatient areas as needed.
Requirements
- Active OT license required (LA license required if applicable).
- Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
- Epic EMR proficiency required.
- Ability to float within inpatient areas.
- Sponsorship of a supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months.
- Copy of Driver’s License required for consideration.

- Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible.
Pay
The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
