Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,901 per week

About the role

MetaSense, Inc. is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 10-week assignment in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma starting ASAP. Local candidates will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Interpret a physician's referral and select an appropriate standardized evaluation procedure.
• Evaluate patient in areas such as independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills, and psychosocial skills.
• Develop a treatment plan with short and long-term goals, frequency, and duration of treatment.
• Design and fabricate adaptive equipment and orthotic devices, provide joint protection, and teach body mechanics.
• Inform patients and families about treatment plans and progress.
• Discharge planning includes ordering equipment and instructing patients on home therapy plans.
• Supervise students as needed.

Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Current license from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as an Occupational Therapist.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Preferred: Travel experience, but not required.

• Interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with patients and families.
• Communication skills to explain treatment plans and technical information.
• Basic computer skills.

Pay & Benefits

The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Dental, vision, life insurance, and medical benefits are available. A referral bonus is also offered.
