Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient in Bethel, Alaska. This full-time position involves providing high-quality inpatient occupational therapy care across various patient populations within the scope of Alaska's occupational therapy practices. The role may also include treatment at a local long-term care facility, with frequent collaboration with medical providers, home visits, and village travel.
Schedule
- Days shift
- 8 hours per day
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
- Alaska state licensure as an OT or a license in another state with current application pending in Alaska
- Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical literature
- Effective communication skills with medical staff and culturally diverse patients
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include modifying patient care plans using age-specific and patient-specific considerations, incorporating evidence-based medicine, and exemplifying professional conduct
- Completion of necessary immunizations, provision of required documentation, passing background checks, and showing proof of COVID-19 vaccination are required
- Housing is shared, and no pets are allowed
- Airfare reimbursement is provided upon arrival, and orientation occurs weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
