Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,469 per week

Travel Occupational Therapist position in Delta, Colorado.

About the role

This position is responsible for meeting the patient's goals and needs and providing quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining occupational therapy treatment plans, and implementing programs to help patients develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or based on prescription.
• Help patients improve or regain physical or mental functioning through various programs and activities.
• Promote independence by tailoring therapies to individual capacities and interests.
• Prepare patients for employment by consulting with employers regarding accommodations.
• Evaluate and adjust therapy plans based on patient progress.
• Coordinate discharge planning with healthcare professionals.
• Ensure the continuation of therapeutic plans post-discharge.
• Maintain confidential patient and department records.
• Adhere to safety and infection-control policies.
• Ensure equipment operation and perform maintenance as required.
• Develop and conduct staff training programs.

Requirements

• Possession of an Occupational Therapy License issued by the state of Colorado.
• Valid registration certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Knowledge of methods and procedures for treating and rehabilitating physical and mental dysfunctions.
• Familiarity with human behavior and performance, psychological research methods, customer service principles, and training methods.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Schedule

• 13-week contract starting 09/30/2026.
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts (08:00–16:00, Monday–Friday).

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
