Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,462 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Gordon, Nebraska. Specialty: Occupational Therapist; Discipline: Therapy; Duration: 13 weeks; 40 hours per week; Shift: 8 hours, days; Employment Type: Travel. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) for an immediate travel opening in Gordon, NE. OT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask the patients questions, and observe them doing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan for patients, identifying specific goals and the types of activities that will be used to help the patient work toward those goals.
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and, on the basis of the patient's health needs, identify potential improvements.
• Educate a patient's family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use that equipment.
• Assess and record patient's activities and progress for patient evaluations, for billing, and for reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience (new grads encouraged to apply).
• BLS and NBCOT‑OTR National Certification with state‑specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
