Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,462 per week

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an opening in Danville, Virginia.

About the role

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) for an immediate travel assignment. The role is 13 weeks in duration, with 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift. This is a travel position requiring 1 year of experience; exceptional candidates with an appropriate background may be considered with 6 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan identifying specific goals and activities to help patients work toward those goals.
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and recommend improvements based on health needs.
• Educate a patient's family and employer on how to accommodate and care for the patient.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on its use.
• Assess and record patient's activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
