Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,370 per week

About the role

Occupational Therapist Inpatient position in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role involves providing assessment, treatment, and education focused on independent living, community reintegration, functional cognitive retraining, upper extremity function, perceptual activities, and assistive equipment, including splinting and positioning mechanics. The position may involve opportunities to work in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings, with no outpatient responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish treatment goals
• Deliver skilled physical assessments and treatments
• Provide education on independent living and community reintegration
• Perform functional cognitive retraining and upper extremity function activities
• Utilize perceptual activities and assistive equipment, including splinting and positioning mechanics
• Supervise support staff as appropriate

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
• Current/valid state licensure for Occupational Therapy
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• One (1) year of related experience, preferably in a medical setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
• Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) endorsed by the American Heart Association
