TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an assignment in Hayward, California. This is an immediate travel opening with the following details:

As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you will evaluate and develop a plan of care for patients needing to improve, regain, or develop skills for daily life. You will work with disabled, ill, or injured patient populations in the acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
- Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
- Develop a treatment plan identifying specific goals and activities to help patients achieve them.
- Assist people with various disabilities in performing different tasks.
- Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and recommend improvements based on health needs.
- Educate a patient's family and employer on accommodating and caring for the patient.
- Recommend and instruct patients on using special equipment.
- Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply).
- BLS certification and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
