Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,009 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Breckenridge, Texas. The position requires 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts, and is a travel employment type. Candidates should have at least 6 months of experience (one year preferred; exceptional applicants with appropriate background may be considered with six months).

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan identifying specific goals and activities to help the patient work toward those goals.
• Assist people with various disabilities in performing different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and recommend improvements based on health needs.
• Educate patient families and employers on accommodation and care.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on its use.
• Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of occupational therapy experience (new graduates encouraged to apply); one year preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• NBCOT‑OTR national certification with appropriate state license.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.
