Travel Occupational Therapist - $1,801 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a position in Skowhegan, Maine. The position starts on October 5, 2026, lasts for 13 weeks, and works 35 hours per week, with a 7-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan for patients, identifying specific goals and the types of activities that will help the patient work towards those goals.
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and recommend potential improvements.
• Educate a patient's family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use that equipment.
• Assess and record patient's activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• MUST have BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Occupational Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Pay

The pay package is based on 7 hour shifts and 35 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

The schedule is 7 hours per day, days.
