Travel Occupational Therapist - $1,800 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Williamstown, Massachusetts. This position requires 35 hours per week with a shift of 7 hours during the day. The role is ideal for an OT with at least 1 year of experience, though exceptional candidates with 6 months of experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs, then develop a tailored treatment plan with specific goals and activities.
• Assist patients with various disabilities in performing daily tasks.
• Assess patients' homes or workplaces to identify potential improvements based on health needs.
• Educate patients' families and employers on accommodations and care strategies.
• Recommend and instruct patients on the use of special equipment.
• Assess and record patient progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply).
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods without difficulty.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
