Travel Observation Unit RN - $2,201 per week

About the role

Host Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN DOU - Direct Observation Unit for a 13-week assignment starting as soon as possible. The shift is 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an observation unit setting
• Assess patients’ conditions and document observations accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Perform routine patient care activities such as monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with treatments
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Document patient care activities and communicate effectively with other healthcare providers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Wisconsin
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in an observation unit or similar setting preferred

Qualifications

• Passing score on the NCLEX-RN exam
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for electronic health records (EHR)

Pay

The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend to be determined.
