Travel OB/LDRP RN - $2,722 per week

About the Role

Travel nursing assignment for an RN specializing in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum) at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York. This is a 12-week contract with 36 hours per week, primarily 12-hour day shifts. Shifts are scheduled on an 8-week cycle, including every other weekend and holiday. The team aims to accommodate preferred shifts and may offer block scheduling when possible, though this is not guaranteed.

Unit Profile

• OB/LDRP unit with an average of 80–90 monthly deliveries (fluctuates by month).
• Mix of experienced RNs and new graduates; travelers play a key role in supporting patient care.
• Facility includes:
  • 4 Labor/Delivery/Recovery (LDR) rooms, each with a private bath, shower, and spa tub.
  • 8 postpartum rooms with refrigerators and fold-out couches.
  • Operating rooms for Caesarean births.
  • A special care nursery.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in a high-volume LDRP unit, supporting both experienced staff and new graduates. Travelers must work every other holiday, with requests approved based on unit needs.

Requirements

• Preferred: 3+ years of OB experience.
• Consideration given to candidates with less than 3 years if they have prior travel experience or specialized OB experience.
• Certifications (Required):
  • BLS (Basic Life Support).
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.

Contract Details

• 12–13 week contract (shorter durations not ideal due to coverage needs).
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (subject to confirmation).
• Holiday coverage required every other holiday, similar to full-time staff.
