Travel Nursery RN - $3,425 per week
Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care
Discipline: RN
About the role
Our special care nursery is integrated with our labor and delivery unit, which is an 18-bed LDRP. All RNs are trained in postpartum and either SCN or L&D. The total staff on a shift is 8-9 RNs, with 2 trained for the special care nursery. The SCN delivers 32 weeks and above; nurses attend deliveries of vaginal births and in the OR for cesarean sections. Additionally, there are grower feeders that are patients in SCN. We administer surfactant via LMA to appropriate candidates. We have 6 beds, though the average census is typically 2-5 neonates.
Float to postpartum or pediatrics if needed—but not likely for the traveler. Will take assignment in postpartum or peds if comfortable; otherwise, will assist as helping hands without appropriate experience.
