About the Role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Women's Services for a 13-week assignment in Andalusia, Alabama. This position involves a 36-hour workweek with 12-hour day shifts and is classified as a travel role.
Responsibilities
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions appropriately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
- Evaluate and address the learning needs of patients and families, providing education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Circulate during C-sections, assist physicians during deliveries, and follow appropriate policies for recovery and care of surgical patients.
- Assess neonates post-delivery in the C-section suite.
- Attend fetal monitoring certification classes every two years and STABLE certification classes if offered; maintain NRP certification.
- Identify and communicate necessary information to physicians and patients.
Requirements
- Active ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
- Active Alabama RN or multi-state RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and L&D/LDRP settings, including:
- Care for OB/GYN patients (e.g., post-op hysterectomy).
- Antepartum care.
- Triage care.
- Labor and Delivery care.
- Postpartum care.
Certifications and RN license must be attached to submission.
