About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Women's Services for a travel nursing job in Andalusia, Alabama.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Circulates during C/Sections, attends deliveries assisting the physician as needed.
  • Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients.
  • Attends the neonatal station in the C/Section suite and completely assesses the neonate post delivery.
  • Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years.
  • Attends S T A B L E certification class if offered is NRP certified.
  • Able to identify necessary information to be communicated to physicians and patients.

Requirements

  • Must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE & AWHONN certifications (must be through the American Heart Association); must be attached to submission.
  • Must have AL RN or multi-state RN license; must be attached to resume.
  • Must have 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN & L&D/LDRP experience.
  • This includes taking care of OB/GYN patients (post-op hysterectomy), Antepartum care, Triage care, Labor and Delivery care, and Postpartum.

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12 hours, days
