Travel Nurse RN - Transplant - $1,925 per week

Job Summary

This Medical Surgical Transplant Floor position is located in an organization providing specialized care for kidney transplant candidates. The role involves managing the clinical evaluation, diagnostic workup, and UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing) waitlist management for kidney transplant candidates. The coordinator collaborates with transplant nephrologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to support candidates from referral through waitlist activation.

Job Details

• Position: Renal Pre-Transplant Coordinator
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License (State-specific or Compact/eNLC):
• 2+ years of recent clinical transplant coordinator experience in a CMS/UNOS-approved kidney transplant program:
• Hands-on experience with Epic (Phoenix module preferred) or Cerner Organ Transplant software:
• BLS certified:
• Experience requirement: 0 years; located within the state or eligible to obtain license in the state;
• Preferred certifications include CCTC (Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator):

Additional Information

• The coordinator will manage diagnostic testing, labs, and multi-specialty consults;
• Compile and present candidate cases at weekly Multidisciplinary Selection Committee meetings;
• Maintain UNOS/OPTN candidate status updates, annual re-evaluations, and required documentation to ensure CMS compliance;
• Serve as the primary clinical liaison to referring dialysis centers and nephrologists.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
