About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a 13-week assignment in Wichita, Kansas.
Responsibilities
- Perform telemetry monitoring and manage patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by a physician.
- Assess patients’ vital signs and document findings accurately.
- Prepare and administer intravenous (IV) medications and treatments.
- Manage and monitor central lines and medication drips.
- Participate in heart catheterization recovery and bubble studies.
- Use PCA pumps and other medical equipment as needed.
- Utilize EMR system Meditech for documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Telemetry experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
- Prior Meditech experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Candidates must not have any deficiencies in the required skills.
Skills
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR system.
- Experience with PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes.
