About the role
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a float pool position in Vermont. This role involves providing patient care in various units including Medical, Oncology, Surgical, Progressive Care, and Emergency Department holds. The RN will maintain flexibility to float across departments, adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards. The position offers a rotating schedule of 12-hour day and night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities

- Provide patient care in various units including Medical, Oncology, Surgical, Progressive Care, and Emergency Department holds

Requirements
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and Dysrhythmia testing certification
- Prior Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) experience preferred
- Vermont license application must be submitted upon acceptance
Qualifications
- Comfort with Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PCU), Medical-Surgical (MS), and Emergency Department (ED) holds
- Orientation is scheduled on a biweekly basis
- Candidates are encouraged to have reliable private transportation as public transit is not accessible
- All employment gaps over 30 days should be explained or documented
- This role does not accept local candidates
Skills
- Flexibility to float across departments
- Knowledge of hospital protocols and safety standards
- Experience with Cerner EMR (preferred)
- Comfort with PCU, MS, and ED holds

Pay
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
