This position involves providing comprehensive patient care within a high-acuity telemetry unit, ensuring optimal outcomes for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The role requires clinical expertise, strong assessment skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The environment is fast-paced, level 2 trauma capable, and requires the ability to adapt quickly to high patient volumes and acuity levels. May be required to float to other units including intensive care, medical-surgical units, or different facilities within the organization based on staffing needs. The role involves working major holidays and picking up additional shifts during the schedule period, which varies based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care within a high-acuity telemetry unit
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with high patient volumes and acuity levels
• Float to other units including intensive care, medical-surgical units, or different facilities as needed
• Work major holidays and pick up additional shifts as required

Requirements

• Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX) certifications
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience
• Ability to pass a telemetry competency exam involving rhythm strip identification and measurement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on busy, high-acuity units involving complex patient cases such as NSTEMI's, sepsis, post-procedure cardiac patients, and COVID-19 care

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
