Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,340 per week

About the role

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care for patients with cardiovascular conditions, including MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, and those undergoing lung or chest surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting EKGs
• Titrating medications such as Cardizem and heparin
• Managing various monitors in an acute care setting
• Troubleshooting ventilator equipment such as Cpap and Bipap
• Reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Collaborating with charge nurses and house supervisors
• Float to other general medical units may be required

Requirements

• RN licensure
• Active Illinois license or initiation of application process
• BLS certification
• ACLS recommended
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
• Skills in EKG interpretation and medication titration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cardiothoracic units and managing chest tubes
• Experience managing pacemakers/AICDs
• Familiarity with Phillips monitors

Schedule

Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week. Shifts run from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
