About the role

Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) assignment in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves providing patient care in a high-acuity emergency department environment, requiring critical thinking and decisiveness to support a team delivering exceptional emergency and level one trauma care.

Schedule

• Nights, 1900–0700
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start date: 08/10/2026
• Must be available to work the entire week, including night orientation (orientation may occur on day shift)

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide and evaluate patient care
• Coordinate care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care across all age groups
• Adhere to the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Code of Conduct, and organizational Mission and Values
• Float rotation may be required

Requirements

• Current RN license (eligible for licensure in Missouri or already licensed in Missouri)
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start)
• Minimum of 0+ years of experience in telemetry, emergency department, or stepdown units (Level 3, Level 4, or critical access)

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma and/or pediatric experience
• Experience managing over 200 patients per day
• High-acuity background
