About the role
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position in an acute-care facility in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The role involves providing nursing care in a busy, fast-paced unit focusing on telemetry monitoring, patient assessments, and support for post-procedure patients. Commitment to patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols is required.
Travel assignment includes a comprehensive orientation: one day of computer training and one day shadowing with a preceptor, followed by independent practice. The unit handles a variety of cardiac and medical patients; responsibilities include EKGs, vital signs, bladder scans, and support therapies such as BiPAP and CPAP. Float requirements may involve coverage across various hospital units, including ICU and stepdown, with all float assignments within the candidate’s skill set.
Responsibilities
- Telemetry monitoring and interpreting strips
- Patient assessments
- Perform EKGs, vital signs, and bladder scans
- Administer support therapies (BiPAP, CPAP)
- Float to ICU, stepdown, and other units as needed
Requirements
- Valid RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpreting strips
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
