About the role
The Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Cudahy, Wisconsin. The role involves providing specialized care on a Medical Surgical unit with a focus on geriatric patients, including those with cardiac, neuro, and general medical diagnoses. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers night shifts with scheduled start dates and requires a minimum of one year of Medical Surgical or Telemetry experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients requiring NG tube placement and management
- Manage Foley placement and care
- Handle chest tube management, including Pleurex and other drains
- Perform wound care
- Conduct central line/ports/midline blood draws
- Interpret cardiac rhythms
- Assist with patient ambulation and activities of daily living
- Monitor vital signs and blood sugar levels
- Remove peripheral IVs
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Minimum of one year of Medical Surgical or Telemetry experience
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts (07:00 PM – 07:30 AM)
- 36 hours per week minimum
- 6-week schedule cycle, scheduled approximately three weeks in advance
- Every other weekend rotation
- Low census call for up to 36 hours per contract as needed
- 50% of holidays per contract
- On-call may be required during low census periods
Scrub color should be solid, professional, with no graphics or logos. Free parking is available for employees. Unit culture is supportive, with ongoing efforts to enhance engagement. May float to other Medical Surgical units or hospital areas but will only be assigned to Medical Surgical patients.

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
