About the role

A Telemetry (TELE) Nurse in a short-term acute care facility will primarily care for patients with neurological diagnoses, including post-surgical neurology patients and those with cerebrovascular accidents. The position involves floating between units and requires proficiency with the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale and post-surgical neurological patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage neurology patients
• Interpret dysrhythmias
• Monitor procedural sedation
• Utilize specialized equipment such as neural monitors and chest tubes
• Use Epic charting system
• Float between units as required
• Work three of the five major holidays
• Submit all specific scheduling requests upfront

Requirements

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Valid state license; compact license acceptable
• At least 1 year of experience
• Two professional references covering at least one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
