Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $1,965 per week

About the role
This position involves providing specialized telehealth nursing care in an acute care setting, primarily for patients awaiting hospital bed placement. The role requires strong cardiac tele skills and the ability to manage cardiac drips according to physician orders. The assignment includes working nights, weekends, and rotating holidays, with opportunities for self-scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients from the Emergency Department awaiting hospital bed placement
- Perform vitals, IV starts, and medication administration
- Interpret EKG strips
- Assist with ED patients as needed (not primary RN for ED patient assignments)
- Float to medical-surgical and overflow units as required
Requirements
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Telemetry nurse
- Proven cardiac tele skills and ability to manage cardiac drips per physician orders
- Passing a dysrhythmia exam through UNA (maximum of two attempts) prior to start
- Pass/fail simulation lab on first day of orientation
- Licenses and certifications must be current and valid for the state of assignment
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Rotating weekends (four per schedule) and holidays
