About the role

A telemetry nurse is a specialized registered nurse responsible for continuously monitoring a patient's vital signs and heart rhythms using automated equipment such as electrocardiograms (EKGs). This role involves caring for acutely ill patients, often those who are stepping down from intensive care, requiring close observation for heart disease or other critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and heart rhythms using EKG equipment
• Provide care for acutely ill patients, including those stepping down from intensive care

Schedule

• 13-week assignment starting 08/31/2026
• 12-hour night shifts
• Minimum 36 hours per week

Requirements

• 2 years of registered nurse (RN) telemetry experience
• NIH stroke training and NIHSS certification
• ACLS certification
• Michigan RN license

Preferred Qualifications

• BLS (AHA) certification

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
