About the role
The Rehabilitation Pavilion at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is seeking a travel nurse RN to provide care to patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, hip fractures, and pulmonary issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour medical monitoring and care to patients.
- Participate in rehabilitation programs using state-of-the-art therapy equipment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and therapists.
- Round on patients daily to assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Ensure patients achieve their goals of improved functional ability and independence.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a compact state.
- AHA BLS certification or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of recent experience in rehabilitation nursing, with 18 months considered if recent experience is not available.
- Willingness to float to other units and hospitals, accepting either 36 or 48 hours per week.
- Availability to work 48 hours per week, 12-hour shifts.
- Acceptance of holidays and every other weekend.
Qualifications
- Required: Associate degree in nursing.
- Required: Current certifications in AHA BLS or Red Cross.
- Required: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama or a compact state.

Pay
