Travel Nurse RN - Rehabilitation - $2,910 per week

About the role

The Rehabilitation Pavilion at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is seeking a travel nurse RN to provide care to patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, hip fractures, and pulmonary issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour medical monitoring and care to patients.
• Participate in rehabilitation programs using state-of-the-art therapy equipment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and therapists.
• Round on patients daily to assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Ensure patients achieve their goals of improved functional ability and independence.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a compact state.
• AHA BLS certification or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of recent experience in rehabilitation nursing, with 18 months considered if recent experience is not available.
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals, accepting either 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Availability to work 48 hours per week, 12-hour shifts.
• Acceptance of holidays and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate degree in nursing.
• Required: Current certifications in AHA BLS or Red Cross.
• Required: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama or a compact state.
