Travel Nurse RN - Rehabilitation - $1,748 per week

Job Description & Requirements

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Rehabilitation for a 13-week assignment in Louisville, Kentucky. The position requires one year of recent experience as a Rehab RN, valid RN license, current BLS certification, and ACLS certification preferred.

Special Requirements

• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts, days
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Preferred qualifications include ACLS certification and NIHSS certification

Essential Work Functions

• Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and document appropriately into patient records
• Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative care
• Cook up and coordinate holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and ADLs, while ensuring adherence to individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to support rehabilitation care
• Avoid patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Required Essential Skills

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
• The ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
• The ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
• The ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
