Travel Nurse RN - Rehabilitation - $1,468 per week
About the role
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Rehab RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and documents appropriately into patient records
- Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative care
- Cookbook and provide holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and activities of daily living (ADLs), while ensuring adherence to individualized care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating any deviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary team
- Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to support rehabilitation care
- Assist with safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
Skills
The Rehabilitation Nurse (Rehab RN) requires critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language is also required. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills is necessary. Physical abilities include remaining in a stationary position, moving about, moving equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, and bending. Interpersonal skills involve working effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/motor skills require the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental requirements include coping with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Sensory requirements include possessing visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
