Travel Nurse RN - Rehabilitation - $1,364 per week
Job Description & Requirements
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13-week assignment in Oro Valley, Arizona. The position requires one year of recent experience as a Rehab RN, valid RN license, current BLS certification, and ACLS certification preferred.
Special Requirements
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, nights
- Must be available for immediate start
- Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to read/write, communicate in English, read/write instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficient in PC skills
- Must have the ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must have visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
Essential Work Functions
- Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and documents appropriately into patient records
- Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative care
- Cookordination and provide holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and activities of daily living (ADLs), while ensuring adherence to individualized care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating any deviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary team
- Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to support rehabilitation care
- Assist with safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Preferred ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
