Travel Nurse RN - Radiology - $3,153 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN Radiology position in Rapid City, South Dakota, starting 10/19/2026 for a 13‑week assignment. The role is 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts, with a call schedule of 1 week on, 2 weeks off. The nurse will work in the Neuro IR unit as part of the Neuro IR Stroke Team.

Responsibilities

• Provide endotracheal ventilation management and basic ventilator understanding.
• Care for tracheostomy patients, including ventilation via stoma.
• Administer vasoactive and sedation drips; safely use paralytics.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and use arterial lines.
• Manage external ventricular drains (EVDs) including Camino ICP monitoring.
• Handle external pacemakers, chest tubes, Swan/Cordis central line catheters.
• Monitor recovery and arterial puncture sites.
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio.
• Chart using EPIC (required) with Epic Cupid preferred; use Alaris and Omnicell.
• No floating; no first‑time travelers.

Requirements

• Active South Dakota RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• ICU experience is mandatory.

Qualifications

ICU experience required; familiarity with Neuro IR Stroke Team workflow.

Skills

• Endotracheal ventilation and tracheostomy care.
• Vasoactive/sedation drip administration and paralytic safety.
• Arterial line setup and troubleshooting.
• EVD and Camino ICP monitoring.
